Sail Sailing is one of the most popular sports, with boats and yachts available for rent in Bialobrzegi, Zegrze, Nieporet and Serock. For something less strenuous, the summer season sees several regattas. Zegrze Lake has several water trails leading to the popular lake district of Masuria.
Windsurf The lake offers good conditions to practise windsurfing. Several ports provide windsurfing schools and equipment rental, including Bialobrzegi, Nieporet and elsewhere.
Angle Although the water in the lake is a bit muddy, it is clean and there are a lot of fish just waiting to be caught. Among the most popular species are perch, carp bream, European carp, zander and eel.
Have a cruise on the water tram During summer weekends, you can go for a cruise along the Vistula River to Lake Zegrze. Starting from the river alongside the Old Town in Warsaw, the water tram takes around an hour and a half to reach Pilawa. It is better to reserve tickets early since the cruises are quite popular and can become booked out.
Visit Pultusk Located on the Narew River, north of Lake Zegrze, Pultusk boasts of a fine old town with a history dating back to the Middle Ages. Its specific location on the fork of two branches of the Narew River have resulted in an irregular layout for the old town, including the unusual dimensions of the market square, the latter considered to be the longest in Europe. Particularly worth a visit are the Collegiate Church and the horseshoe-shaped castle.
Explore old fortifications During the Partitions of Poland (1795-1918), the Tsarist forces chose to defend the western borders of the Russian Empire by building a belt of forts and fortresses along the Vistula, Narew and Biebrza Rivers. Their remains can still be inspected in Zegrze and Modlin.

During the warm seasons, the towns and villages around Lake Zegrze organise family events, such as picnics, contests and concerts. Hotels also prepare special attractions for parents with children, such as horse-sleigh rides, horse-drawn carriages rides or bonfires.
