arrowSunbath and swim
The Hel Peninsula boasts the highest number of sunny days during the year. No wonder that Baltic beaches are packed with sunbathers every year. Blue skies and a sandy coastline form excellent conditions to spend lazy days lying in the sun. The most recommendable resorts are Jastrzebia Gora, Wladyslawowo, Jurata, Jastarnia, and Hel. For those who seek tranquillity, we recommend Rzucewo, a small place near Puck.

arrowSail
Sailing the waters of the Baltic requires some experience, but you can charter a yacht and enjoy the Puck Bay instead.

arrowWindsurf
Puck Bay, with its shallow water and moderate winds, is a great place to practise windsurfing and kite surfing. For this reason, Hel is also known as the capital of windsurfing. Beginners can choose from one of the schools operating out of many of the towns and larger villages along the peninsula, and more experienced surfers will certainly not be disappointed. Most schools also offer equipment rental, and some of them have catamarans to rent.

arrowFish
If fishing is your thing then you can try angling on the Baltic Sea, including during special cruises organised at several towns along the peninsula.

arrowCycle
The most popular trail runs along the length of the whole peninsula (about 35 km), providing great views of the Baltic and Puck Bay on one side or the other.

arrowSpend relaxing time in SPA
Those who dream of forgetting the cares of the world and want instead to focus on their health and appearance can visit one of the spa centres or have a “fitness holiday” in Wladyslawowo or Jastrzebia Gora.

arrowVisit historic sights
Gdansk is one of the most beautiful Polish cities anywhere, attracting hoards of visitors. Come and feast yourself on the splendid mediaeval and Baroque architecture, as well as places connected with the start of the Second World War and the birth of the Solidarity movement. The nearby cities of Gdynia and Sopot both have their own, specific charm.

arrowDrop in to local museums
We recommend seeing the fishing museum “Under the Thatch” in Jastarnia, and the one in Hel too. In both these villages and in Rozewie you can find beautiful lighthouses to visit where you can enjoy the extensive panoramas.

Why not experience the Fokarium, an aquarium of seals, seals and only seals? As the number of grey seals in the Baltic Sea continues to drop, the Marine Station in Hel is trying to rescue the species by breeding seals and re-establishing them in their natural environment.
